October 21st – 29th was National Respiratory Therapy week. Respiratory therapy is an integral part of what we do at Neonatal Rescue and our respiratory team would not be complete without Janelle Gardiner, our Vice President of Clinical Operations. Janelle has been a Registered Respiratory Therapist for over 25 years. Janelle earned her master’s degree in Respiratory Care Leadership from Northeastern University and a Doctor of Health Sciences with an emphasis in education from A.T. Still University. Janelle has been an associate professor for nearly 20 years and is very skilled in both respiratory therapy techniques and practical teaching methods.

Janelle has worked with Neonatal Rescue on many of our trips, including Cambodia, Zambia, and Guatemala. Janelle serves a pivotal role in our education program. Not only does Janelle educate the nurses and medical staff who accompany us on our trips, but she also trains nurses, doctors, and respiratory therapists in the countries we visit. In her experience, Janelle has found that by providing basic respiratory care, many babies can get a strong start in life. Please help us thank Janelle for all that she does with our organization and her dedication to respiratory therapy.
